When I moved to Santa Barbara, I was in college and “too old” to dance at most local studios. The idea of growing out of dance was foreign to me. As a young dancer, I trained and performed with kids and adults - even parents and grandparents. It was a family studio where multiple generations danced alongside and supported each other. As well, I was unable to continue my training as a tap dancer since no classes available in the area. After dancing and teaching with multiple studios and companies in Santa Barbara, I realized my ideal vision of a studio – rooted in family, classes for children and adults, and a versatile training program (including tap) – would not manifest unless I created it myself.
