Our Story

You see, I was in a position where I was making a decent amount of money which allowed me to practice self care in ways I was never able to. But, there was an enormous gap and disconnect in each of these experiences. I didn’t see people who looked like me, not as employees and definitely not as customers. So something in my brain sparked. I wanted to create a space where people of color were celebrated, welcomed with open arms, and treated with the careful care that they needed. I embarked on a journey to pursue my passion for skincare. With my degrees in Mental Health, my passion for activism, and my love for skin and people- The Bar was born. An inclusive skincare haven for all.
