Its founders, the Abdur- Rahman sisters, started teaching Hip Hop as a hobby in their local Police Athletic League during their teenage years. S.U.D.C. began as a competitive dance group, regularly placing first at city-wide shows. They gained the respect of their participant's parents, talent scouts, school officials, and esteemed community members and we encouraged to expand. In 2014, we became a licensed liability company; developing a program geared toward the wider community for children of all levels of talent.
We pride ourselves on being able to create a fun, safe and structured environment for our students. We are mentors who use dance to serve our community by building self-esteem, confidence, responsibility, self-respect and a sense of direction in our youth. SUDC specializes in Acrobatics, Street Jazz, Vogue, Hip Hop, Ballet, Majorette, lyrical, Contemporary, tap and African dance. We train students from 3- 21 years of age. Our program is broken down into 7 levels, ranging from beginner to professional.
