The company was founded in 2011 by Archana Sharma in California with the goal of addressing the learning and development needs of students and preparing them for success. The company's focus is to provide quality education using industry leading technology and curriculum aligned to State Education standards, and at the same time create employment opportunities for teachers and educators. The company also partners with Homeless shelters to provide free education and resources to children. Before starting Shivark, Archana worked at leading technology companies Hewlett Packard and Cisco for over 15 years in Product management and marketing functions. She is also a Chevening scholar for the "Women in Leadership"" program sponsored by the British Government. Shivark is a member of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and a certified ""Women Owned WBE"" business certified by the WBENC."
