When she came across a British Vogue magazine cover featuring Naomi Campbell and the rest of the supermodels, she felt such a connection and was empowered to see someone who looked liked her on a cover. She then realized the importance of representation and why it was necessary.
Since I was a child I recognized the power of imagery! I have dedicated my life to shifting the view and narrative with my camera. This is something that is truly necessary. I am so excited to create more imagery that pushes boundaries and narratives.
Through the years she has been refiening her craft and cultivating her vibrant imagery. Her enchanting photographs are striking and envoking. Every photo shoot is a creation in which all elements work in harmony. Seleen's work is a tapestry of culture, fashion, sensuality and spirituality.
