Our Story
I founded Primary Beans because I recognized the potential for something as simple as dried beans to elevate simple, nourishing meals at home, all while having an impact on the soil. So many people are looking for easy ways to eat less meat, but when… I founded Primary Beans because I recognized the potential for something as simple as dried beans to elevate simple, nourishing meals at home, all while having an impact on the soil. So many people are looking for easy ways to eat less meat, but when it comes to dried beans, I found there to be such a disconnect between what people know about preparing beans and how simple it actually is. I also realized that as long as you have a fresh source of dried beans, you don’t even need to soak them - a time-intensive barrier for many! I drew on my fresh produce industry roots and 15 years working in agriculture to build a network of incredible climate-conscious farmers. By sourcing directly I was able to offer super fresh bean harvests and unique varieties to the community I'm building.
