We have programs like The Heart of SuperNova where we support military families who have child with a heart condition or other special needs. Blessing of the Heart is another program. This program we provide support in many way but one is by providing gifts to military spouses who are dealing with some issues and they need love.

Our Story
Dr. Wersel to share her story as the surviving spouse of LtCol Richard "Rich" Wersel, Jr. USMC, who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and died on active duty at Camp Lejeune in 2005 a week after returning.This conversation lead to Holly sharing Dr.… Dr. Wersel to share her story as the surviving spouse of LtCol Richard "Rich" Wersel, Jr. USMC, who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and died on active duty at Camp Lejeune in 2005 a week after returning.This conversation lead to Holly sharing Dr. Wersel’s heart story later that week at a spouse social- which then opened the door for other military spouses to share. Knowing there were more stories out there Holly began Military Hearts Matter as a movement. In 2017, Holly began an initiative with the Tampa Bay American Heart Association to bring awareness to the issue of heart problems within the military. In 2019, officially non-profit Military Hearts Matter (“MHM”). With a group of volunteers the organization is paving the way to fully support our military heart community.
