We just incorporated in the state of Delaware as kubé, PBC and Certificate of conversion of a California limited liability company under the name of Creamy Coconuts, LLC to a Delaware corporation "kubé, PBC on May, 12, 2021. We also have our Certificate of Conversion by the State of California, filed on May 10, 2021. Prior to our legal conversion, we were Creamy Coconuts, LLC (DBA: kubé) in 2016 -2021. It is important to note that we did product R&D from 2014-2016.
kubé is a Black woman-owned vegan, artisanal coconut ice cream woman-manufacturer and social enterprise in Oakland, CA. We produce our own coconut cream from mature coconuts, with patented and automatic coconut equipment. We do not import coconut cream like all other competitors because it contains bleaching chemicals called, Sodium Metabisulfite, and many people are allergic to it.
As a result, we produce the most clean and BEST TASTING vegan ice cream that doesn't even taste like coconut; only clean and bold plant-based flavors dominate.
kubé makes the most premium plant-based ice cream in 3.5oz containers and to sell via e-commerce (local Bay Area customers), corporate events, weddings, and distinguished Bay Area hotels. We will be selling to a few Bay Area vegan restaurants and hotels in the fall of 2021.
We do not use synthetic chemicals, no soy, no peanuts, and no artificial flavors or colors. Instead, we use real mama earth organic fruit, seeds, roots, and citrus essential oils to make the most creamy and bold tasting vegan ice cream that attracts ice cream enthusiasts; both flexitarians and the lactose intolerant population.
Our purpose, at kubé, is to lead the inclusive and full-circle regenerative economy with vegan ice cream manufacturing that inspires, awakens, and transforms lives.
Our triple bottom line addresses the most critical issues of our time: restorative economics and food justice, racial and gender equity, and ecology. We will be hiring returning citizens and mothers and paying them higher than the minimum wage to restore their value and dignity in the workforce.
We have secured a 5,000 SF manufacturing facility with retail in Oakland, CA that will open by Feb. 2022. In addition, we will also have a beautiful lactation room with a sink, counter, refrigerator, and comfortable chairs for returning mothers (employees) to pump their breast milk daily for babies.
kubé liberates people, animals, and the soil from systems of abuse by repairing the harm with food justice and regenerative agriculture. We create regenerative agriculture by donating our coconut byproducts to urban, organic farms in East Oakland, PlantingJustice.org., as a soil resource, so that they can grow more organic food for the community.
We will later upcycle and sell our coconut byproducts to bakeries and other urban farms to go back into worker wages.
