Services include reviewing complex records (and translating into plain English), attending school meetings, drafting correspondence to document important areas of agreement and disagreement, connecting clients with resources, filing complaints, helping with negotiations in mediation, and assisting with preparation for hearings if needed.

A professional advocate for nearly 20 years, I have had over 1000 hours of professional development in special education law, assessment, instruction for students with disabilities, negotiation, and more. I view each new case as a puzzle to be solved and work with the family to navigate the process and to ensure the child has an appropriate program. I belong to the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA) and am an instructor for COPAA's renowned Special Education Advocacy Training (SEAT) program. I am lucky to be able to get up every morning to do a job I love.
