We sell sustainable materials such as cork and bamboo flooring as well as natural linoleum, sustainably harvest woods, and hundreds of recycled glass, stone, and metal tile options. Our approach focuses on making safe products available to all persons, even those with the most acute chemical sensitivities.

In 2001 at the peak of the .com stock market plunge, I was laid off from a software company. I evaluated my options and researched more the opportunities in areas that were meaningful to me. It was through my primary research working for a local… In 2001 at the peak of the .com stock market plunge, I was laid off from a software company. I evaluated my options and researched more the opportunities in areas that were meaningful to me. It was through my primary research working for a local sustainable woods cooperative that I uncovered a huge opening in the flooring industry for non-toxic and eco-friendly flooring. I felt that I was uniquely positioned, as a person who has multiple chemical sensitivities and is also a mother, to understand the priorities that many women face when selecting flooring for their homes. I consider myself as the canary in the coal mine--if I react to the products, I would never sell them to my clients. My shop in person or on-line is a safe place to explore and select non-toxic flooring and tile.
