The word Duafe is an Adinkra symbol from Ghana which means "wooden comb." It is a symbol of feminine consideration and good feminine qualities such as patience, prudence, fondness, love, and care.
The Heads Up product is an attachment that fits on standard salon dryers to help hold the head in place allowing the client to relax while achieving optimal drying of the hair.
Heads Up was born after Dr. Payne Foster's experience of falling asleep in the salon while under the dryer. Since then, she has won three business competitions for the idea, had the product patented, had an initial prototype developed and re-designed with plans to produce and bring to market.
The product is the first for Duafe Hair which was incorporated in 2020. We look forward to advancing the company as a premiere haircare product and accessory brand.
