We decided that he would continue to live at home with the assistance of homecare. After multiple home assessments with different agencies, I was unable to find adequate home care for him. I became my father’s CLE, which allowed me to hire and train the caregivers needed for his care. My father lived at home surrounded by his family and friends until his passing in 2018. His desire was to continue to live his life at home at his level of independence with support. My father is a true example of how individualized personal care and support at home is the answer to independence for loved ones. In 2019 we opened Dominion Home Care Services to assist families with finding appropriate home care for their loved ones.
