The biggest challenge for me, as a gut-health consumer, was finding a ready-made dessert that tasted like a dessert and didn't make me feel guilty. That's why I started baking what is known today as our dalci dark chocolate brownie. At the time, I… The biggest challenge for me, as a gut-health consumer, was finding a ready-made dessert that tasted like a dessert and didn't make me feel guilty. That's why I started baking what is known today as our dalci dark chocolate brownie. At the time, I just wanted a better brownie with nutritional ingredients that had naturally occurring digestive enzymes and prebiotics. I started dalci in 2020 in the midst of a pandemic, without really knowing how the brand and our brownies would be received. A year after the soft-launch of our online store, we're seeing dalci loyalists, selling nationwide, and becoming available in specialty retailers across the country.
