Music Therapy uses music to accomplish nonmusical goals in areas such as motor skills, communication skills, social skills, cognitive skills, and emotional intelligence. We use instrument play, song creation, song re-creation, and other interventions to accomplish these goals.
I use the Positive Discipline curriculum to help parents use positive interventions to help maintain a positive relationship with their children. I teach a 7-week course and also offer individual consultation.
Music Together is an early childhood music class for children 0-5 and their caregivers. It focuses on motor, communication, and social development.
In September I am hosting a pre-school prep camp followed by enrollment in an inclusive preschool for neurotypical and neurodivergent children. This preschool will have therapies (speech therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, and behavior intervention) available to those children who need it. We will also be using the Music Together program within the preschool.
