The majority of therapists charge 150 an hour but we don't charge more than 60 an hour and we have mostly 30 dollars an hour paying clients. Our motto is to offer affordable mental health treatment. I'd like to offer some people free sessions and would use part of the grant money for this so I can pay therapists to provide low cost-free therapy. Many people do not have access to psychotherapy due to SES status and marginalization which is a social justice issue. It is needed now more than ever. I want to help people who need it most but can't afford it. As well as providing diverse therapists that are culturally competent since BIPOC numbers in this field are low.
