Allen-Griffin, an experienced Criminal Justice employee for over Twenty-Five years. working at the female prison and witnessing first-hand of the little or no help for the females inspired me to open a Transition house.
I decided on taking a collaborative approach to empowering self-sufficient, independent women in being a positive presence in their respective communities. To attain these goals, Allen's Home of Hope, Inc. Will offer training (courses) in Personal Development, Vocational training, Substance Abuse counseling, Interpersonal Skill building, and GED (preparation). Also, we will have a mentorship program to include faith-based initiatives. Because of the long-term goals, we are offering a length of stay at the Transition house, from twelve months to eighteen months to ensure an attainable success rate.
